Everest Panorama Trek
True to its name, the Everest View Trek is a short hike in Nepal that is related to the magnificent Everest panorama. We begin our 09-day trip in Kathmandu with visits to UNESCO World Heritage Site before heading to the most coveted region of the country. On our trek, we also reach the Everest view hotel which is situated at 3,867m (12,687ft) from here, the panoramic views of the Himalayas of Nepal including Tawache, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku and Everest are ours to admire.
The short Everest View Trek features a wide range of panoramic mountain scenery of Nepal combined with unique cultural encounters with the Sherpa people and their rich culture which is closely tied to Buddhism. This trek is ideal for anyone who wishes to enjoy the surreal beauty of the Nepalese Himalayas and Everest in particular while also enjoying an easy trek.
The trek starts with a 35 min flight from Kathmandu to the air strip at Lukla. The next two days are spent hiking up the beautiful canyon of the Dhudh Kosi to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar. The following morning we take a day hike to Everest View Hotel for a fantastic panorama that includes Everest and Ama Dablam. We get one more day of hiking to visit the villages of Khunde and Khumjung which are home to many traditional Sherpa and surrounded by beautiful mountains. On the last day of trekking we head back to Lukla from Namche for a flight the following morning back to Kathmandu. This is a great trek anyway you look at it and will certainly leave you wanting to come back to Nepal for more.

DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 01 – Arrival Kathmandu
Maximum Altitude: 1,350m/4,429ft
Accommodation: Hotel Room breakfast
As soon as we land in Kathmandu, a friendly representative from SHERPA MOUNTAIN JOUNREY will greet us at the airport and help us with our luggage. From there, we’ll be escorted to our hotel and given some time to rest and freshen up. Later in the afternoon, we’ll have a chance to meet our trek leader and other team members during a pre-trip discussion. This is an ideal opportunity to ask any questions we may have about the itinerary or our journey to the management and trek leader.
In the evening, we’ll be treated to a special welcome dinner hosted by SHERPA MOUNTAIN JOUNREY. We’ll have the opportunity to sample some of the best Nepalese cuisine while getting to know our fellow trekkers. The food will introduce us to the rich culinary traditions of Nepal, and the warm ambiance will make us feel right at home. This will be a great way to kick off our adventure and set the tone for the rest of our journey.
Day 02- Kathmandu: Sightseeung and Trek Preparation
Today after breakfast, we start a guided tour to several of the most historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu which are also listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites. We visit the historic Durbar Square, famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath) and Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), which is also one of the largest stupas in the world. At noon, we get our equipment checked by our trip leader, Trip briefing. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 3 – Kathmandu To Lukla Flight and Phakding
Altitude: 2,800m/9184ft (Lukla) & 2,652m/8,698ft (Phakding)
Walking Distance: 8km (4-5 hours)
Flight time: 40 min from kathmandu
As we take off from Kathmandu for our 40-minute flight to Lukla (9,186ft), we embark on one of the most scenic air routes in the world. The journey culminates on a hillside surrounded by towering mountain peaks, making for a breathtaking arrival. Upon landing at Lukla, the gateway to our trek, we’ll meet our other crew members and begin packing and organizing our gear with their help. From Lukla, our trek begins.
After a one-hour gradual descent, we’ll arrive at the Cheplung village, where we’ll catch our first glimpse of Mt. Khumbila (18,900ft), a sacred mountain that has never been climbed. We’ll continue our descent from Cheplung until we reach Phakding, where we’ll spend the night. The trek will be a gradual descent with stunning views of the surrounding landscapes, and the night spent in Phakding will offer a chance to rest and acclimate before continuing our journey.
Day 4 – Phakding to Monjo
Altitude: 2835m/ 8,283ft
Walking Distance: 5 km (3 hours)
As we begin our trek, we’ll pass through a stunning pine forest and follow the trail north up the valley of Benkar. After crossing the Dudh Koshi River, we’ll pass through Chumoa and Monjo, which is the entrance to the Everest National Park.
today is a short walk. For many trekking tours Day 2 is Phakding to Namche Bazaar. The climb to Namche Bazaar is a big day so we added a day to our itinerary, so we didn’t need to rush and allow time to acclimatize to the altitude. Setting out we looked forward to a leisurely day taking our time and taking in the views around us.
Day 5-Monjo to Namche
Altitude: 3,440m/11,283ft
Walking Distance: 6 km (4 hours)
We’ll have breakfast gearing up for the trek to Namche Bazaar, the biggest sherpa village in Nepal. Our trail takes us first we will approach the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park for a brief permit check and then descend to Dudh Kosi River (spotting Mani stones along the way!) in route to Jorsle, and then it’s uphill to Namche. Our path along the riverbank is flanked by two crossings, one of which is the Hillary Suspension Bridge. It’s a tough climb up the hill to our resting place, but you’ll be rewarded in Namche Bazaar with your first glimpse of Everest in its majesty.
Day 6- Namche Bazaar – Khumjung Vie Everest View Hotel)
Altitude: 3,700m/12,283ft

We leave early for the hike up to the Everest View Hotel about an hour’s hike above Namche for a fantastic panorama of the Himalayas
The hike offers trekkers a stunning sunrise view, as well as panoramic views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kongde, and other peaks. Alternatively, we can take a day hike to Khumjung village (12,401ft), a beautiful village with a Sherpa settlement. While exploring Namche Bazaar, we’ll have the opportunity to observe traditional Sherpa life and visit the Khumjung Hillary School. We’ll also have the chance to appreciate the flora and fauna found at such altitudes. We’ll spend the night in khumjung.
Day 7 – Khumjung to Namche
Altitude: 3440m/10,320ft
Walking Distance: 5 km (3 hours)
After breakfast, we trek toward pass through several local villages khunde and trek to Leaving the villages we circle back to Namche via the small airstrip at Shyangboche. The trail descends steeply dawn to namche
Overnight Namche
Day 8- Namche to Kathmandu
Altitude: 1350m/4428ft
Flight time: 35 min
In the morning, you’ll hop a brief flight from Namche to Kathmandu where your journey both began and ends. You’ll transfer to your hotel upon landing for some much-needed solo rest and reflection after your trek conquering the Himalayas. We’ll reunite in the evening for a farewell dinner at one of the best Nepalese restaurants in town, where we’ll be eager to hear your feedback on the trip.
Day 9 Kathmandu Free Day
Last day free day and shopping around Kathmandu.
Day 10 – Kathmandu: Departure Day
Altitude: 1,350m/4,428ft
it’s your last day in Nepal! Grab some breakfast, and then take in some last-minute in Kathmandu. We’ll make sure you arrive at Kathmandu International Airport with plenty time before your flight home. At this time, we’ll say our goodbyes and bid you farewell, armed with warm memories and gorgeous photos to show your loved ones.

Some Important Information

Everest panorama trekking is physically quite tiring, involves approx. 6-7 hours trekking along rocky ridges in Himalayan No previous experience is required, you should be moderately fit, used to some regular exercises 1 month before your trip start and enjoy walking in the trek.
Trekking Types

Accommodation
you will find plenty of clean and friendly lodges along the trail. Most of the tea houses have western style flush toilets and cold running water. Rooms are basic, normally just a bed with a pillow and blankets with inside toilet attached and all have a spacious dining room-lounge. We will accommodate you and your group in a comfortable local lodge each day. Please remember that some of them are very basic liked lobuche and Ghorshep only comman toilet and a sense of adventure is necessary.
Food
Lodge Trek:
Meals You can find a considerable variety of Nepali (rice, curry & lentil, momo, noodles, chapatis etc.) and Western food (pizza, pasta, sandwich, chips, porridge, toast, pancake, soup etc) as well as drinks (coffee, tea, milk, soft drinks, and beer). The Guide suggests you the best option as per the availability.
Water
The best option is to treat the local water either with chlorine/iodine tablets or to use a steri pen. The tea houses will give you good quality free water and you can also get along the trail but you will need to treat it. If you are using the tablets make sure they dissolve completely (about 30 mins). On most treks you can buy mineral water along the trail. A liter of mineral water at lower elevation tea houses costs around $1 USD but at higher elevations can cost up to 4 $5 so the cost can add up
Guide
You will be guided by our experienced trek leaders who have been multiple Everest summited to the base camp and back multiple times for years. All our guides are locals who communicate very well in English and acquire deep knowledge of the mountain, people, culture, health, hygiene, and most importantly your safety.
Adapters
A lot of the tea houses have the power strips with the American outlets. If not then either a C or D type outlet is good. You can check out all the details on the different outlets If you have time in Kathmandu you can buy at least the common adapters for just a couple of dollars.
Personal Expenses – Money To Take On Trek
Money requirement depends on, duration and trekking region.
For a two-week Everest trek, you can take about $150-200, more if you intend to get more table drinks cook and mineral water snacks while walking (a few smaller shops are available along the trail in some areas), souvenirs, battery charge, internet, hot shower (available in some places) etc.
Changing Money
You can change money at a Bank or the money exchange counter in cities like Kathmandu and Namche. Many Tourist class Hotels have money exchange facilities. For Trekking, there are Banks and exchange counters at major Tourist hubs like Namche and Lukla. dingbuche these days, there are availability of ATMs everywhere in Kathmandu and some in Lukla and Namche and dingbuche.
Tips
Tips are appreciated by your support team after the completion of your trekking in Nepal. The amount depends on your budget and appreciation of their work. As a suggestion, we advise that you can allocate 10- 15 % of the total tour cost as tips. It is recommended that you talk to the members and hand it over individually as per the hierarchy on the last day of the trek.

Communication
Communication during this Trek is not challenging but there are certain things to be considered. For using internet, Wi-Fi service is available in every lodge. You have to pay extra charge for this service about $5 (per stay) up to Namche though. You can also use local service provider (both for internet and mobile network) NAMATE AND NCEEL SIM card.
Flight / Land Transfers
the starting and ending point of this Everest panaram Trek is Lukla, which is connected by a 40 mins’ flight from Kathmandu. We will arrange flight and airport pick up and drop transfers as per the itinerary.
Luggage While Trekking
During Everest trekking, your main luggage will be carried by porter. Please keep your luggage as light as possible around 12 to 15 kgs for flight safety and porter welfare as per IPPG standard. You simply carry a day pack with water bottle, camera, sun-screen, spare jacket etc. You can leave your valuable items at your hotel in Kathmandu while trekking. Many hotels have a locker system and provide a deposit slip for the valuables kept under the hotel’s safekeeping.
Typical Day on Trek
Lodge/ Tea House Trek,
A typical day while trekking in Nepal consists of about 7-8 hours of activity. Each morning after packing our bags and having a good breakfast, we set off on the day’s walk. After walking for 3-4 hours we stop for lunch at around midday. The afternoon’s walk is generally shorter and we usually arrive at our destination in time for afternoon tea. The remainder of the afternoon can be spent exploring the village, doing a bit of washing or simply relaxing with a good book. On some days, we will arrive at our destination by lunchtime and the entire afternoon will be free. After dinner, the evening will often be spent playing cards and reliving the day’s adventures, before heading off to bed for a well-earned sleep.
Trekking Gears & Equipment
You will need walking boots, sleeping bag (4 seasons/ -20C rated), waterproof jacket and trousers, fleece jacket, warm hat and light gloves, sunglasses, water bottle, sunscreen and day pack. Comprehensive list of equipment will be provided once you book your trip. It’s not necessary to spend a lot of money buying extra equipment and clothing before your trip. Majority of these gears can be bought or hired at reasonable rates in Kathmandu.
Safety
Safety is our primary concern. Experienced local and international guides, instructors and facilitators lead the groups at all times, ensuring safety.
We have minimum of 1:8 guide ratio of adult to students. All our field staff (leaders/guides) possesses a first aid qualification as well as relevant qualifications and experience. Staff training, risk assessments and review of emergency protocols are made prior to each individual trip/expedition. During the trip staff member is equipped with a comprehensive first aid kit,an emergency contact sheet as well as a communication device.
Our staff will always analyse and review activities, utilise third party service providers (where applicable) and visit locations prior to commencement of trips. A detailed risk assessment is made for each trip/expedition we run.
We provide all relevant information before the trip. Upon arrival in Nepal safety briefings are conducted prior to involvement in activity/expedition to minimize the risks.
Watch of your condition they will take daily readings of your blood oxygen saturation levels. In addition our guides carry a basic first aid kit. In an emergency situation we will coordinate rescue efforts with the office in Kathmandu where our team is available 24/7.
During your trek, you will be sleeping in local teahouses. You have to take precautions yourself at all times. Never leave your baggage unattended and keep your lodge room locked when you go out.
Meeting And Greeting At Airport
You just pass the customs desk and come out of the terminal building where you will see someone standing with a placard with either ‘SHERPA MOUNTAOIN JOURNEY’ or your name written on it. Our airport representative or tour officer will greet you and welcome you with a garland.
Trek Duration
We ensure liability as indicated in itinerary and list of services. If the holiday is cut short or completed earlier than the projected period upon client’s wish, we shall not be responsible or make refund against unutilized days or services. Clients need to pay for hotels/services incurred in Kathmandu or elsewhere in such cases.
Climate And Best Time
The best seasons for trekking to Everest Panaram Temperatures will drop considerably as you trek higher every day. The nights are cold (between -15C to 20 C) but the days are sunny and hot (between 17C to 25C). The mornings are usually clear, with clouds building up during the afternoon, disappearing at night. Trekking during the monsoon also some time is heavy rain but some tiem cler weather as the visibility during monsoon is limited but still beautiful
March, April, October and November are the most favored months. But still you find wonderful and different seen in summer
Itinerary Changes
the itinerary for this Trek is a standard itinerary. Depending on the prevailing situation while on trek, you can modify it to some extent after consulting with your guide. However, the date of trek completion should always coincide with the original itinerary. You should keep in mind that this is an adventure trip into the remotest region, where many unforeseen events may contribute to the need for a change in itinerary. In such cases, we or your guide will suggest the best alternative similar to your original.
Health Issues And Vaccinations
the main health consideration during trek you may experience some mid altitude symptoms but we are sleep only 3460m Our itinerary will allow your body to acclimatize properly and handle the low oxygen rate.
If you have ever suffered from altitude sickness, or have a heart or breathing complaint, we highly recommend you to consult your doctor about your suitability for trekking in high altitude areas before booking. We suggest that you take some pain-killing pills with you and enough medicine for cold, diarrhea, nausea and fever. Some nasal ointment and throat-moistening pills will greatly help for those who are sensitive to chilly or freezing weather conditions.
Altitude Sickness
The best way to avoid problems with altitude is to ascend slowly and all of our this treks are designed to average about 300m or 1000ft a day in elevation gain which helps to minimize any elevation problems and is the rate recommend by high altitude doctors. Carries a pulse ox meter and will monitor your blood oxygen level on a regular basis
We take all possible precautions to proactively ensure the safety and wellness of our trekkers, but rest assured that our guides are trained and experienced in dealing with emergencies. If necessary, your guide will utilize your travel insurance information to call a rescue helicopter, and you will be flown to Kathmandu for medical attention.
Having minor symptoms of altitude sickness such as a headache are quite common and you can continue trekking. However, if you develop additional symptoms it’s critical that you don’t continue trekking to a higher elevation. We can often arrange to have you walk down to a lower elevation and wait several days for the symptoms to resolve.
First Aid Kit
we supply a medical bag with standard medicines prescribed by trekking doctors and a user’s manual. Since our staffs/guides are not qualified for suggesting medications to clients, we would request you to use the medicines upon your own risk. It is safer and more reliable if you have your own medicine kit and not depend on what we have.
Flight Cancelled
Lukla weather is unpredictable weather conditions in the Everest region may lead to cancellation of Lukla flights. So, what do you do if your flight is cancelled at the last minute? We have several alternative options for Lukla flight cancellatio for you, in case you have limited time in Nepal. Make sure that you are well-informed about this critical issue well ahead of time!
Visa
All visitors except the Indian nationals must hold passport and valid visa. Visa can be obtained at the Nepalese diplomatic missions and consulates abroad. You can also get “On Arrival Visa” at entry points. For doing Everest Base Camp Trek, you can come with a 30 day visa which costs US $ 50. You should have a passport size photo to get it at airport upon arrival. Some countries’ nationals need to get visa prior their arrival. Rescue / Evacuations
We are taking your safety and security very seriously, and make sure that nothing untoward happen to you. However, if anything serious like sickness or a casualty occurs, we will do everything to transfer you to the nearest hospital. As you are responsible for all the expenses incurred in evacuation, please make sure that it is covered by your insurance before assigning for it.

Before joining trip we recommend you to take a travel insurance which should cover cancellation, medical expenses, helicopter evacuation include trip cancelation and emergency repatriation. Our staff will collect your insurance details before you leave for the trek.
