Saribung Expedition
Mt. Saribung Peak 6387m. lies in the isolated in Damodar Himal, near Damodar Kunda and closed to border of Tibet. This is recently introduced Saribung Peak climbing is ideal for the explorers those who wish to get off the beaten track of Lo-Manthang, Nepal. Till date, only a few of climbers have reached to the summit of this Peak. This peak is a technical climbing though considered to be a challenging expedition due to altitude variation and remoteness of the area. Stretched dry rugged terrain and glacier travel mode for the most part with at the most a couple of sections of fixed line requiring the use of a jumar and other climbing gears.
Peak Itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Full day Kathmandu City Tour. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: Fly/drive Kathmandu – Pokhara then transfer to Hotel.
Day 04: Fly Pokhara – Jomsom, then trek to Kagbeni (2720m.) O/N Lodge/Camp
Day 05: Trek Kagbeni – Chele (3050m.) O/N Camp
Day 06: Trek Chele – Geling (3540m.)
Day 07: Trek Geling – Tsarang (3560m.)
Day 08: Trek Tsarang – Lo Manthang (3750m.)
Day 09: Exploration day at Lo-Manthang
Day 10: Trek Lo-Manthang – Dhi Gaon (3360m.)
Day 11: Trek Dhi Gaon – Lury Gompa
Day 12: Trek Lury Gompa – GhumaTanthi
Day 13: Trek GhumaTanthi – Namta Khola
Day 14: Trek Namta Khola – Saribung Base Camp (5240m.)
Day 15: Rest day at Saribung Base Camp.
Day 16: Trek Base Camp – Saribung Pass.
Day 17: Climb to the summit of Saribung Peak 6387m. back to BC.
Day 18: Trek Base Camp
Day 19: Trek To Dhamodar Kund
Day 20: Trek To Basha Khola
Day 21: Trek To Yara
Day 22: Trek To Tengbe
Day 23: Trek To Tetang
Day 24 Trek to Mukatinath and drive to Jomsom
Day 25: fly to Pokhara – then drive to Kathmandu. O/N at Hotel.
Day 26: Free days. This days are spare days for flight delay/cancellation to Jomsom. This days can be used for optional sightseeing/shopping in Kathmandu. On day 22nd evening, a farewell dinner at Nepalese typical restaurant will be provided. Over night at hotel.
Day 27: Transfer to airport for your onward journey.
